## Form factors

The case must match the motherboard size: ATX (standard), mATX (smaller), or ITX (compact). An ATX case accepts smaller boards, but an mATX case cannot take an ATX board.

For most builds, a mid-tower is enough. ITX only makes sense when you genuinely want a compact PC — with higher board cost and harder cooling.

## Airflow and cooling

Look for a mesh front panel, not sealed glass, for airflow. A setup with 2–3 intake fans and 1 exhaust keeps the system cool and quiet.

If you plan liquid AIO cooling, check radiator support (240 mm/360 mm) and mounting position in the case specs.
